1Purpose and Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") governs your use of the UX Crumbs platform, website, applications, and any related services (collectively, the "Service"). It is designed to protect our users, maintain the integrity of our educational platform, and ensure compliance with applicable laws.

This Policy is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to comply with this Policy. If you do not agree, you must immediately cease using the Service.

2General Conduct Expectations

We expect all users to act with integrity and respect when using UX Crumbs. Your use of the Service must be honest, lawful, and responsible.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and truthful information when creating an account and interacting with the Service.
  • Comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations.
  • Use the platform solely for its intended purpose: learning and practicing User Experience (UX) design and related disciplines.
  • Respect the rights, privacy, and property of other users and Cyanic Innovations.

3Prohibited Content

You may not upload, share, post, or otherwise disseminate any content through UX Crumbs that falls into the following categories:

  • Hate Speech & Harassment: Content that attacks, threatens, or degrades individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other protected characteristic.
  • Threats & Violence: Content that promotes, glorifies, or incites violence, or contains credible threats of physical harm against yourself or others.
  • Not Safe For Work (NSFW): Sexually explicit, pornographic, or excessively violent material.
  • Spam & Self-Promotion: Unsolicited advertisements, promotional materials, junk mail, chain letters, or any other form of solicitation not explicitly authorized by us.
  • Copyright Infringement: Material that infringes on the copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights of others.
  • Misinformation & Fraud: Deliberately false, misleading, or deceptive information, including impersonation, phishing attempts, or fraudulent schemes.
  • Malicious Code: Viruses, malware, trojan horses, or any other harmful code designed to disrupt or damage the Service or user devices.

4Prohibited Activities

To maintain fair play and platform integrity, the following activities are strictly prohibited:

  • Academic Dishonesty: Cheating on assessments, sharing solutions to exercises (unless explicitly encouraged by the platform for peer review), or submitting someone else's work as your own.
  • Gamification Manipulation: Artificially inflating or manipulating Experience Points (XP), achievements, leaderboards, streaks, or other gamified elements using bots, scripts, or exploitative behavior.

  • Reverse Engineering: Decompiling, reverse engineering, disassembling, or attempting to derive the source code or underlying algorithms of the Service.
  • Scraping & Data Mining: Using automated means (such as bots, spiders, or scrapers) to extract data, content, or user information from the platform without our written permission.
  • Network Interference: Launching Denial of Service (DoS) attacks, unauthorized vulnerability scanning, or any action that imposes an unreasonable load on our infrastructure.
  • Unauthorized Access: Attempting to bypass security measures, accessing areas of the platform you are not permitted to access, or attempting to access other users' accounts or data.
  • Impersonation: Falsely representing yourself as a Cyanic Innovations employee, another user, or a public figure.

5AI Feature Usage Rules

UX Crumbs utilizes artificial intelligence to provide personalized feedback, generate scenarios, and enhance learning. When interacting with these AI features, you must adhere to the following rules:

  • No Sensitive Data: Do not input personally identifiable information (PII), confidential business data, health information, or other sensitive data belonging to yourself or others into AI prompts or input fields.
  • No Harmful Outputs: Do not intentionally prompt the AI to generate hateful, violent, explicit, or otherwise prohibited content as defined in Section 3.
  • No Jailbreaking: Do not attempt to use "prompt injection," "jailbreaking," or other techniques designed to bypass the safety filters, instructions, or operational constraints of our AI models.
  • Not for High-Stakes Decisions: AI-generated content on UX Crumbs is for educational purposes only. Do not rely on AI outputs for legal, medical, financial, or critical business decisions. You are solely responsible for evaluating the accuracy and appropriateness of any AI-generated feedback.

6Intellectual Property Respect

Respect for intellectual property is a core tenet of the design community. On UX Crumbs, you must:

  • Respect Platform IP: Do not copy, distribute, or reproduce UX Crumbs course materials, lessons, proprietary designs, or UI elements outside the platform without our express written permission.
  • Respect User IP: Do not steal, copy, or present the design work, portfolio pieces, or solutions of other users as your own.
  • Proper Attribution: When referencing or drawing inspiration from third-party works (where permitted by the platform's exercise parameters), provide clear and appropriate attribution to the original creator.

7Community Conduct

We aim to foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment. When engaging with other users in peer reviews, forums, or community spaces (if available):

  • Be Constructive: Provide actionable, respectful feedback aimed at helping others improve their skills. Avoid purely negative or disparaging remarks.
  • No Bullying: Do not target individuals for harassment, bullying, or public shaming.
  • Respect Diversity: Be mindful of varying skill levels, backgrounds, and perspectives within the global UX community.
  • Report Violations: If you witness behavior that violates this Policy, report it to our team rather than engaging in retaliation.

8Consequences of Violations

Cyanic Innovations reserves the right, at our sole discretion, to investigate and take appropriate action against anyone who violates this Policy. Consequences may include, but are not limited to:

  • Issuing formal warnings.
  • Removal or modification of prohibited content.
  • Loss of gamified progress (e.g., stripping of XP or achievements gained through manipulation).
  • Temporary suspension of account privileges.
  • Permanent termination of your account without refund.
  • Reporting unlawful activities to relevant law enforcement authorities.
  • Initiating legal action.

We are not obligated to monitor the platform continuously for violations, but we retain the right to do so and to enforce this Policy vigorously.

9Reporting Violations

If you encounter content or behavior on UX Crumbs that you believe violates this Acceptable Use Policy, we encourage you to report it immediately.

Please send your reports to: support@uxcrumbs.app. Include relevant details, such as the usernames involved, links to the offending content, and a description of the violation. We will review all reports and take appropriate action while striving to maintain the confidentiality of the reporter where possible.

10Changes to this Policy

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time to address new features, behaviors, or legal requirements. The updated Policy will be posted on this page with the revised "Effective Date." Your continued use of the Service after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Policy.
