Welcome to the AI Policy for UX Crumbs, a product of Cyanic Innovations ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to using Artificial Intelligence (AI) responsibly to enhance your educational experience. This policy explains how we integrate AI technologies into our platform, what data is processed, and your rights regarding AI interactions.

This AI Policy supplements our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. By using UX Crumbs features powered by AI, you acknowledge and agree to the practices described in this document.

UX Crumbs utilizes AI to provide a personalized, interactive, and effective learning environment. Our current AI-powered features include:

• AI-Powered Design Feedback: Analyzing your UI/UX design submissions to provide constructive critique, highlight potential improvements, and suggest industry best practices.
• Interview Simulator: Engaging you in conversational mock interviews for UX roles, generating follow-up questions based on your responses, and providing performance feedback.
• Quiz and Assessment Evaluation: Automatically evaluating free-text answers and providing detailed explanations for correct and incorrect responses.
• Personalized Learning Recommendations: Analyzing your progress, strengths, and areas for improvement to suggest relevant courses, modules, or reading materials.
• Content Generation Assistance: Helping generate realistic scenarios, user personas, and project briefs for your practice assignments.

To deliver these features, we partner with industry-leading third-party AI providers (such as Google Gemini, OpenAI, and Anthropic). We access these models via secure Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).

No Training on User Data: We explicitly configure our agreements and API connections with these providers to ensure that your personal data, design submissions, and interactions with UX Crumbs are not used by third-party providers to train their foundational AI models. Your data remains yours and is only processed to provide the service to you.

When you use an AI-powered feature on UX Crumbs, relevant data is transmitted securely to our AI providers for processing. This data may include:

• Text inputs (e.g., your answers to interview questions or quiz responses).
• Images or design files you upload for critique.
• Contextual metadata required to generate accurate feedback (e.g., the specific course module you are taking).

Retention: Interaction logs with AI features are retained by UX Crumbs to allow you to review past feedback and to improve our platform's prompt engineering. You can request deletion of this data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

While we strive to provide high-quality AI features, it is important to understand the inherent limitations of Generative AI technologies:

• Probabilistic Nature: AI outputs are generated probabilistically and may occasionally contain inaccuracies, inconsistencies, or "hallucinations."
• Not Professional Advice: AI feedback on UX Crumbs is intended for educational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional judgment, mentorship, or legal/compliance advice (e.g., regarding accessibility laws).
• Potential Bias: AI models may reflect biases present in their training data. We actively work to mitigate this through prompt engineering, but users should critically evaluate AI feedback.
• Human Expertise: AI does not replace the nuanced understanding, empathy, and strategic thinking of human UX professionals.

To ensure a safe and productive environment, users must not use UX Crumbs AI features to:

• Input the personal data of others without their explicit consent.
• Submit highly sensitive personal information (e.g., health records, financial data, government-issued IDs).
• Make high-stakes decisions based solely on AI outputs (e.g., hiring decisions or formal academic grading).
• Attempt to extract training data, prompt instructions, or proprietary information from the AI models.
• Attempt to bypass, disable, or circumvent any safety filters or content moderation systems.
• Generate harmful, abusive, discriminatory, or illegal content.

We believe in a "human-in-the-loop" approach to AI. Cyanic Innovations maintains oversight of the AI systems deployed on UX Crumbs. We regularly monitor aggregate AI performance metrics and conduct random qualitative reviews of AI outputs to ensure quality, relevance, and safety.

Users are encouraged to report any inappropriate, inaccurate, or biased AI outputs using the feedback mechanisms provided within the platform.

We are committed to making our use of AI transparent. Whenever you interact with an AI-generated output on UX Crumbs (such as feedback on a design or a response from the interview simulator), it will be clearly labeled or contextually obvious as being generated by AI. We do not attempt to pass off AI-generated content as human-created content.

Depending on your jurisdiction (including under the GDPR, CCPA, and India DPDPA), you may have specific rights regarding AI and automated processing:

• Right to Opt-Out: Where feasible, you may choose not to use specific AI features. However, as AI is deeply integrated into the core educational experience of UX Crumbs, opting out of all AI processing may significantly limit platform functionality.
• Right to Human Review: If an AI system makes a significant assessment regarding your progress, you have the right to request a review of that assessment by a human member of our support team.
• GDPR Article 22 Compliance: We do not use AI to make solely automated decisions that produce legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affect you.

The field of AI is rapidly evolving, and so is our implementation of it. We continuously evaluate new models, update our prompt engineering techniques, and refine our safety filters to improve the UX Crumbs learning experience. We actively incorporate user feedback into this iterative process.

We may update this AI Policy periodically to reflect changes in our AI features, underlying technologies, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email or through a prominent notice on the UX Crumbs platform prior to the change becoming effective.
